Patricia (Pat) Ann Henson Ward Williams (SIS) (1946-2023) Duncanville TX passed away on June 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years: John Felton Williams, Sr. on May 23, 2023; father: Andrew Virgil Henson; mother: Evie Estelle Hays Henson; brothers: Virgil Andrew Henson (US Navy WWII USS KIDD MIA-KIA), Charles Edward Henson and Joe Henson. Early in life, Patricia (SIS) lived a full loving Christian life with her family and friends growing up in Edgewood, Texas (Van Zandt County). She kept herself busy helping and taking care of others. Known as Pat Ward raising her three children by herself with help from her mother Evie (Granny) Henson, she worked different jobs through the 70's and early 80's. While working as a mobile home manufacturer, she took clerical and secretarial courses at the local community college in Athens, Texas. As she honed her educational skills she began working as a clerk and teller for local banks in Paris and Canton, TX. Continuing education and alternative language classes she became the Van Zandt County Tax Records and Archives Keeper. In 1985 she found her career with LTV/Vought Aerospace and Defense. Working her way up the ladder through the aircraft and missiles division. She was an administrative assistant to the VP's on the Military Hummer Special Operations Projects, The A1F1 Stealth Projects, only to finish her 30 year career in the C17 Programs Office. To all her Collegues she was affectionately called PJ. Patricia (PJ) was a breast cancer survivor of the 90's and in a sense remained the backbone of the family for her husband, children, and grandchildren. For God and Family was everything to her and her husband. SIS is survived by one brother: William Jeff Henson of Edgewood, TX; daughters: Lynne Ward Head of Garland, TX and Alisa Ward Ewing of Huntsville, TX; along with her only son: DeWayne Virgile Ward of Duncanville, TX; stepson: John F. Williams, Jr. of Plano, TX; 8 grandsons; 5 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter to whom all called her Nana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many many friends and loved ones. She will forever be loved and missed The family will receive friends on Wednesday - July 19, 2023 at the North Dallas Church of the Nazarene, 10303 Webb Chapel Rd., Dallas, TX 75229 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at which time the Funeral Service will begin (all on the same day) with Pastor Jim Henvey, officiating. Interment will follow in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
