Peggy Ann Edwards Blanford

Born December 26, 1939 in Hobbs, New Mexico to T.J. Edwards and Effie Ola Edwards. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family October 23, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. Peggy graduated Red Oak High School in 1958 and was a long time resident of Glenn Heights, Texas. Survived by her loving husband of forty two years: Charles O. Blanford; sisters: Ola Edwards Frederick, Erlene Edwards Rodgers and brother: Marion(Sonny) Edwards. As well as children: Juanita Williams Woodhouse, James Allen Williams, Lawrence Damon Williams and Charles Lance Blanford who all attended DeSoto Schools, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by a large family and many friends. There will be no services as per her request, she would want to be remembered for her compassion and service to others. She certainly left this world a better place than she found it as did her mother and father before her. Her sense of humor brightened many a day. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of North Texas as she never saw a stray she did not help.
