Peggy Ann Cavender

Heaven gained another beautiful angel on July 13, 2019. Our hearts are very broken but we know Mother is resting in our heavenly father's presence and rejoicing over a wonderful homecoming.  Mother was a beautiful, sweet, loving and kind Christian woman.  She enjoyed a wonderful full life and we were so very blessed to have her in our lives for all these years.  Peggy never met a stranger and always insisted people call her "Mo".  Thank you for loving her and our family and please keep us in your prayers during this difficult time. She was preceded in death by her parents:  Rupert & Pearl Cole; brother:  Gene Cole and her loving husband:  Carl Ray Cavender. Peggy is survived by her daughter & son in law:  Carla & Randy Johnson; grandchildren:  Christopher Scott Jean & wife Katie, Randall Ray Jean, Ryan Edward Johnson and Chris Smith & wife Mallory; great grandchildren:  Christine Smith, Lindley Jean, Luke Jean and Landry Jean; niece:  Gail Cavender Buckner & husband Ray; niece:  Connie Cole and nephew:  Russell Cole and numerous great nieces, nephews and many cousins. The family will receive friends at the  Funeral Home  from 6 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday - July 19, 2019. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday - July 20, 2019 with Rev. Larry Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, DeSoto, TX. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials or donations be made in Mrs. Cavender's name to either the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's  Association or the charity of your choice.  Please provide the charity with the family's name and address so acknowledgements may be sent.
