Philip "Pops" Banner

A veteran of WW II serving in the U S Navy, 86, of DeSoto, TX passed away on February 03, 2012. Phil was preceded in death by his daughter: Denise Banner and stepson: Gary Pogue. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend: Shirley J. Banner; son: Jan Banner; stepdaughter: Kathy & her husband Fred Gerber; grandchildren: Stefene, Abby, John Robert, Jody, Jonathan, Taylor & Ian; great grandchildren: Jet & Maverick. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday, February 06, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until service time which will begin at 12:NOON in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home with Mark Hancock, officiating. Interment will follow in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Those serving as Pallbearers will be Jody Bullard, Jonathan Gerber, Andrew Perez, Charlie Hancock, Devaunta Cuba, Corey Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Melvin Clemons, Fred Gerber & Tommy Bullard.
