Phyllis was born January 15, 1922 in Cooksville, Illinois, and passed away at Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas, Texas on the evening of February 8, 2012 at the age of 90. She was born to Roscoe S. and Ferne Scott Jolliff, She taught school for over 30 years in the Bettendorf, Iowa area, was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene. Since she moved to Grace Presbyterian Village, she had been an active resident, serving on the newsletter committee and in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 63 years, Harold Bottles on September 6, 2008.
Survivors are her daughters, Nancy Baumann of Redwood City, CA, Marilyn Bottles of Dallas, TX, and Charlotte and her husband, Wayne Lambert of Plano, TX., Grandchildren, Anastasia, Alex, Emery and Connely, great grandson, Christian, brother, Merle Jolliff of Peoria, IL.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Services will be held at 11 A. M. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Bassett Chapel of Cliff Temple Baptist Church, 125 Sunset Ave., Dallas, Texas 75208. Officiating will be Dr. Brent McDougal and Rev. Tom Tickner
Interment will be with her husband in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Alex Baumann, Don Page, Connely Lambert, Jim Roberts, Darrell Lewis, Walter Counts.
