Mrs. Sams is survived by her husband of 53 years: Bill Sams; daughter & son in law: Candice & Chad McCurdy; grandchildren: Aiden & Avery McCurdy; brother in law: Jack Allen; a host of nieces & nephews including Jacqueline Allen, Mead Sams & Lewis Sams. The family will receive friends at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home from 6 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday - July 05, 2017. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Midlothian, 1651 S. Midlothian Pkwy., Midlothian, TX 76065 at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday - July 06, 2017 with Dr. Bill White, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, FM 147, Marlin, TX 76661. Pallbearers will be Mead Sams, Lewis Sams, Don Potts, Donald Mullins, Glen Reed, Jon McCurdy, John Feisthamel, Kraig Fort.The family requests memorials or donations be made in Mrs. Sams' name to Paws For Reflection Ranch, 5431 Montgomery Rd., Midlothian, TX 76065.
