Rhonda K. Fuston

April 29, 1957 — September 4, 2021

Rhonda Kay Fuston, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Rhonda was born April 29, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. When she was 18 days old she was adopted by James and Ann Fuston, and she was their pride and joy. Rhonda grew up in Midlothian, Texas and was an outstanding student in school. She excelled scholastically, being a member of the National Honor Society. She loved sports and was a star athlete in several sports but especially loved basketball. Rhonda was also a talented musician. She played clarinet in the school band and was an accomplished drummer. She and her best friend, Jan, played guitar and sang together, often performing at school functions. After graduating from Midlothian High School in 1975 Rhonda attended Stephen F. Austin State University and Texas Christian University, but her interest in aviation led her to Texas Aero Tech where she graduated, earning three awards. Rhonda retired last year after 31 years with American Airlines. Rhonda’s first love was the Lord Jesus. She attended Gateway Church and was blessed to go to Israel three times. Rhonda’s second love was her parents. They adored her and she adored them, and no one could ask for a more loving and devoted daughter. There are no words big enough to describe the bigness of Rhonda’s heart. On her facebook page there are myriads of posts from friends who have been the recipient of Rhonda’s generosity. She was always ready to help. She also never talked about the many things that she did for so many people. Rhonda very much loved her family and friends, and there was nothing like a big ol’ Rhonda bear hug. And she always parted with an “I love you.” Rhonda was preceded in death by her beloved father, James Fuston. She is survived by her beloved mother, Ann Fuston, her uncle Bob Fuston, several cousins, and countless friends who will all miss her very much. If you would like to honor Rhonda’s life, do something nice for someone, give someone a hug, always tell your family and friends that you love them. Rhonda did not want a funeral, but there will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
