Ricky Lee Price February 23, 1956 – July 11, 2026

Ricky Lee Price, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 70, following complications from cancer treatments. While our hearts are deeply broken, we rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, made whole and free from suffering.

Ricky was the beloved husband of Debra Price, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love for one another. Ricky’s family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in caring for his three girls—his wife, Debra, and their daughters, Stephanie and Christine. He was a devoted husband and father who poured his time, energy, and heart into his family. Through his daughters’ marriages, God blessed Ricky with two sons, Anthony and Joshua, who became two of his closest friends. He loved teaching them, sharing life with them, and trusted them with everything he had. Above all, Ricky treasured his role as "Gaga" to his five grandchildren: Hunter Schlegel, Faith Schlegel, Samuel Schlegel, Weston Smith, and Hudson Smith, who brought him immense pride and joy.

He is also survived by his sister, Judy Keeler; nieces and nephews Jason Huffaker, Heather Ramirez, and Tyson Parker; and their families. Ricky enjoyed making memories with them, especially during family holidays and gatherings.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Lester Price of DeSoto, Texas.

To know Ricky was to know a man of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a heart that always put others first. He loved deeply, worked hard, and found joy in caring for his family and serving those around him. Whether he was fixing something, offering wisdom, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, Ricky had a way of making people feel valued and loved.

Ricky often reminded us that some of life’s greatest lessons could be learned simply by sitting down with someone from an older generation and having a good conversation. He believed everyone had a story worth hearing and wisdom worth sharing, and he made time to listen. That same appreciation for people shaped the way he lived his life—with humility, curiosity, and genuine kindness.

Ricky was a respected Master Electrician and spent 16 years with Aladdin Electrical Service before co-founding RPM Electrical Service with his longtime friend, Pat Spears. RPM Electrical Service was a trusted business for over 25 years, with Ricky’s sister, Judy, serving as the office manager. The company was known for quality work, reliability, and doing things the right way. After selling the business in June 2024, Ricky enjoyed a well-earned retirement. Ricky loved golfing, bowling, fishing, and bow hunting on his farm in Ohio. He enjoyed trips with family and spending time with friends.

Ricky also found great joy in coaching his daughter Stephanie’s fastpitch softball team, the DeSoto Lazers. He was an excellent teacher who loved helping young athletes develop both their skills and their confidence. Ricky had a natural competitive spirit and brought that same passion to everything he did. He loved a challenge and always gave his best, whether on the ballfield, the golf course, or in everyday life. Some of his favorite memories were made on the ballfield, where he built lasting friendships with players and their families.

Ricky faithfully served as a deacon at Brook Hollow Baptist Church and spent many years teaching Sunday School at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. He had a deep love for studying God’s Word and found immense joy in sharing the truth of Scripture with others. Those who sat under his teaching often witnessed him become overcome with emotion as he reflected on the incredible grace and mercy of God through the saving work of Jesus Christ. His life was a testimony to humble faith, servant-hearted leadership, and unwavering trust in God’s promises.

Though we grieve his absence, we do not grieve without hope. Ricky’s steadfast faith reminds us of the promise found in Christ—that He makes all things new. We find great comfort knowing Ricky is now with his Heavenly Father, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

His greatest legacy isn’t found in the business he built or the many accomplishments he achieved, but in the family he loved, the faith he lived, and the countless lives he impacted through his kindness, generosity, and integrity. We will miss him more than words can express, but we are forever grateful for the example he set, the lessons he taught us, and the memories he gave us. His love will continue to live on in all of us, and his legacy will be carried forward for generations to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday - July 25, 2026 at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, 1201 N. State Highway 360, Mansfield, TX 76063.
