Robert James (Bob) Brotherton was born January 24, 1959. He was adopted at birth by his loving parents, Lem and Naomi Brotherton. He completed high school. Bob served in several occupations but his favorite was as a surveyor. When his mother’s sight failed due to macular degeneration he became her driver, making it possible for her to continue teaching her watercolor classes. He remained as her companion. He treasured his red Ford pickup truck, which he continued to drive. In grade school he became close friends with David Woodard and they played pee wee football together. Bob continued to be close to David and his family and visited them as often as he could. Bob will be very much missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lem Brotherton, and is survived by his mother, Naomi Brotherton and sister, Betty Crudden. The family will be at West/Hurtt funeral home on Thursday, March 25, 2021 to receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Wheatland Cemetery, 8000 S. Hampton Rd., Dallas, TX 75232.
