Robert (Rob) Roy Davies Jr. Born on January 1, 1945, died peacefully at home in DeSoto, TX on April 4, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Ruth Ann Davies, daughters, Terrie (TJ) Riley of Kemp, TX and Renae Timmons of DeSoto, TX. Grandchildren; Chad Riley, Eric Timmons, Clint Riley and Chase Riley. Great grandchildren Koby Riley, Kyle Riley, Tyson Timmons and Lane Riley. 1 Great Great grandaughter; Elizabeth Riley. Sister in-law Doris Eastep. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and his Navy Buddy, John Morgan (John John) of Okmulgee, OK., was like his brother (Rob called him “Little Buddy”) Preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Davies Sr and Leona B. Davies and his granddaughter Ashley Dawn Timmons. Robs father, Robert R. Davies Sr. was an Army Sergeant so, he traveled around the world for 20 years with his parents. He attended The College of the Ozarks in MO earning his Batchlor Degree in Science. He also attended School of Mines Mathematics graduate school. Rob joined the Navy in 1969. He was the Vietnam Era Veterans. He was CTO2 CRYPTO NSGA (Navy Security Group Activity). He graduated CTO “Class A School Correyfield” in Pensacola, FL December 1969, then Adak, Alaska 12 months later. In Adak, Alaska he was designated Bravo Operator. In March of 1971 he graduated in Pensacola, FL advanced C School BDTSS Claranet Bulls Eye. He was then assigned duty at Skaggs Island where he was USN 26nd class Petty Officer. Graveside Service Monday April 29, 2024 at 3:15P.M. Dallas – Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX (2000 Mountain Creek Parkway)., Officiated by his nephew, Kyle Eastep. Date of service is pending. After the Memorial service the family welcomes you to join them to Celebrate his Life at his daughters’ house in DeSoto, TX. Please contact the family for her address.
