Robert John Garner

Robert John Garner, beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle passed away on February 17, 2012 at the age of 79. Bob was born on March 05, 1932 to Anita Marie and Nicholas Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Bobbie; sister: Gloria; brother: Joseph; daughter in law: Debbie and grandson: Joseph. He is survived by his children: Gloria Jean Melton & her husband Stephen, John Garner, Charles Garner & his wife Deirdre, Rebecca Garner and James Garner; grandchildren: Grace Melton Loggins & her husband Martin, Robert Garner, Elizabeth Garner, Nicholas Garner & Katherine Garner; great grandson: William Loggins; brother: James Garner; family friend: Kevin McInnes and numerous nieces & nephews. Bob was a proud veteran of the Korean conflict and married Bobbie when he returned from service. Together they were dedicated and loving parents who will be greatly missed. The family extends sincere gratitude to Natalie Fowler, for her supportive care of Bob since Bobbie passed away in August. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Garner's name to the Catholic Charities of Dallas, Inc., 9461 LBJ Frwy., #128, Dallas, TX 75243. Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Mausoleum, 3235 Lombardy Ln., Dallas, TX 75220 on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:NOON followed by Mass at 12:NOON (ALL IN THE NORTH CHAPEL) with Rev. Joseph C. Lee, officiating. Entombment to follow there in the Calvary Hill Mausoleum.
