Robert Orr

85, of DeSoto, TX passed away on July 04, 2015. The family will receive friends at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Wednesday - July 08, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. till 12:NOON with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:NOON (all on the same day), with Rev. Jay M. Davis, officiating. Interment, with U S Army Military Honors, will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, DeSoto, TX. Robert was born in La Mesa, TX, raised in Oklahoma and attended Hartshorn High School. He enlisted in the U S Army in 1950 and was a Korean War Veteran serving honorably until 1952. He then was hired by Fritz W. Glitsch Industries as a welder. Then in 1954 he married his sweetheart Janie and later retired after 30 years with Glitsch as a Chief X-Ray Inspector. His hobbies were riding horses, camping, boating, hunting and any outdoor activities. Mr. Orr is survived by his wife: Janie; son: Joe Orr; daughter & son in law: Cathy & Mike Fenton; grandchildren: Renee Knight, Monty Knight and Christopher Orr.
