Ronald Eugene "Gene" Ealy

Ronald “Gene” Ealy of DeSoto, Tx, passed away on April 4, 2016. He was born January 2, 1932 in Ashmore, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Nola Ealy, his wife, Betty Sue Lindsey-Ealy, brothers: Randall Ealy, Philip Ealy and Darrell Ealy, and step-son: James Hurley. He is survived by his son and daughter in law: Darren Ealy & Loni Reynolds Ealy, daughter and son in law Susan and Al Knight, Stepson and wife: Ron and Lori Hurley, brothers: Reg Ealy, Carlin Ealy and sister: Jennifer Kosko Ealy. Grandchildren: Mikaela Ealy, Jade Ealy, Chris Knight, Megan, Erin, Ryan, Trey and Jimmy Hurley. Gene retired from U.S. Army where he served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later retired from Dallas County Sheriff’s Dept. where he served as a Deputy Sheriff. Memorial Graveside Services, with Military Honors, will be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211, with Rev. Craig Hines, officiating at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday - April 12, 2016 all to gather in Lane C.
