Ronald "Ronnie" Roy Echols, Jr.

Ronald “Ronnie” Roy Echols, Jr., 63 of Justin, TX passed away on January 21, 2021 from complications of cardiac arrest, with his wife at his side. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. Ronnie loved spending time with his friends and family, never met a stranger, and was beloved by all that knew him. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Ronnie was a graduate of Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX and worked 19 years for General Electric. After his retirement, he became an amateur chicken farmer. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing for bass and deep-sea fishing. In 2008 he won the Berkley Big Bass Tournament at Lake Fork. Ronnie is survived by his wife of ten years, Christina Fluitt Echols, and son, Ronald “RJ” Echols III. His siblings, Rhonda Hobson (David Hobson), Sheryl Echols (Greg Saari), Jack “J.R.” Echols (Sonya Echols). Father and Mother-in-law, Larry and Trish Fluitt. Sister-in-laws, Melissa Jones (Chase Jones), Miranda Dinkle (Mark Stanich), Emily Fluitt (James Coulter). Nephews and nieces, Justin Echols, David Hobson III, Jonathan Echols, Kaci Jones, Zane Eiland, Autumn Jones, Ryean Jones, Tinsley Jones, Niko Stanich. Close cousins, Eugene Fowler (Judy Fowler), Marla Zachary, Rusty Blasingame. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ronald Echols, Sr. and Anita (Chumley) Echols, paternal grandparents, Jack and Vera Echols, maternal grandparents, Ray and Arva Chumley. The memorial for Ronnie will be on Saturday February 27th at 11 am at Element Dallas Ft. Worth Airport North 3550 I-635, Irving , TX 75063. There will be signs in the lobby to direct people to the room. Due to covid the memorial will be streamed on Facebook Live through both Ronnie's and Christie's Facebook for family and friends who can not attend. In lieu of flowers, a dependent fund has been established with Wells Fargo Bank, to benefit his son RJ.
