Ronnie Joe Stanphill was born April 17, 1948 in Red River County (near Clarksville), Texas. He died at the age of 65 at Methodist Charlton Medical Center following an extended illness with complications from Agent Orange. He served in Viet Nam in the U. S. Army. Ronnie and his wife had owned Ronco Custom Screens for many years, until retiring. Ronnie enjoyed riding his "Harley", hunting, and fishing. He loved his family and his many, many friends.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley, children: Kenneth Wayne Pledger, Theresa Darnell, Karen Pledger, and Melisa Harrison, grandchildren: Tommy Darnell, Ray Darnell, Devin Darnell, Lacie Darnell, Courtney Ross, James Goode, Joey Harrison, Jeremy Pledger and two great grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Mary Ellen Griffin, Herbert Stanphill, Mable Cook, Jack Stanphill, Brenda Demachkie, Deborah Price, and Ramona Wood. He is also survived by a number of Nieces and Nephews.
There will be a Chapel Service at 11 A. M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home with Bro. David Fortenbury and Jenner Ballesteros, officiating.
Interment with U. S. Army Military Rites will be held at 1:30 P. M. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the Stones Chapel Cemetery north of Clarksville, Texas.
