Rudy Blakely, Jr.

Rodolfo (RUDY) Blakely, Jr., 70, of Arlington and DeSoto prior to that, passed away at Methodist Charlton Hospital Saturday morning, March 4, 2017. Rudy was born and raised in Beeville, Texas. He was a Veteran of the U S Army in the Viet Nam era, serving in Germany. He was a Dental Technician; Rudy was an avid baseball fan, reader of westerns by Zane Gray and Louis Lamore.  He loved music and his family and his friends.  He was always ready for an adventure. Rudy was preceded in death by his son: Jeffrey ( just 18 months ago); and parents: Rodolfo and Lucia Blakely. Rudy is survived by his daughter: Amanda Blakely of Wylie, his grandsons: Matthew and Jacob Scholl of Wylie; 4 brothers: Louis and his wife: Yolanda Blakely of Arlington, Ralph Blakely of Waxahachie, Rene and his wife: Tammy Blakely of Mabank, and Ray Blakely of DeSoto, 2 sisters: Carrie and her husband Manuel of Friendswood, TX, and Fay Jones of DeSoto. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and many good friends.A Memorial Service to honor Rudy will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 401 W.
