Shelley Dianne Miller, 54, went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. She was born December 14, 1969 to Loy and Jolette McHargue in Dallas, Texas. A beloved and cherished member of her community, she will be remembered as a loving, caring, and resilient individual who touched the lives of everyone she met. Shelley grew up in Red Oak, where she formed lifelong friendships and met her husband, James. She graduated from Red Oak High School in 1988, where she excelled both academically and athletically, playing basketball and volleyball with passion and dedication. She worked many years with her family in the insurance industry, and in the nursery at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Shelly married her high school sweetheart in March of 1989 and they were blessed with children, Aaron and Alyssa. Shelley was preceded in death by her father, Loy McHargue. She is survived by her husband, James Miller of Red Oak, Texas; son, Aaron Miller of Red Oak, Texas; daughter, Alyssa Miller of Red Oak, Texas; mother, Jolette McHargue of Cedar Hill, Texas; sister, Annette Adamcik and husband, Don Adamcik of Ovilla, Texas; nieces and nephew and dear friends. Throughout her life, Shelley was a devoted family person who prioritized the well-being of those she loved. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she spent 25 years working at an insurance agency, where she was known for her professionalism and warmth. Later, she found joy in working at a daycare, where her love for children shone brightly. Shelley's love for flowers was one of her many passions. She found peace and happiness in tending to her flowers, where she could connect with nature and create beauty. Her flower garden, much like her life, was a testament to her ability to nurture and grow. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Shelley was instantly drawn to her. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Shelley’s legacy is one of love, strength, and compassion. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
