Sidney Vaughn Coleman

Sidney Vaughn Coleman, 92, Retired Dallas Fireman, after 39 1/2 years of service and served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII, and a 60 year Mason, of DeSoto, TX passed away on December 02, 2014. The family will receive friends on Tuesday - December 09, 2014 from 12:NOON - 1:00 P.M. AT THE CHURCH PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE. Funeral Service: Tuesday - December 09, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 with Rev. Kelly Wolverton, Dr. Bob Moore and Rev. Denny Burris, officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX. The Dallas Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sadie L. Coleman, son: Bill and his wife: Alice Coleman, and daughter: Becki and her husband: David Sipes, three grandchildren: Barron Coleman, Bill Sipes and Kelli Sipes, two great grandchildren: Camryn and Jonathan, three sisters: Carolyn, Wilma, and Earline, and one brother: Max.
