Theresa "Teri" W. Delario

The world has lost a great woman, loving mother and adoring grandmother. Theresa “Teri” Wilhite DeLario passed peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022. Teri was born January 15, 1951 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and spent her childhood in El Paso, TX. In 1972, she married the great love of her life, James "Jim" DeLario, who preceded her in death in 2013. They shared 40 great years together in Germany, Arlington and DeSoto. Teri was a giving and caring person, who always thought of others first and her favorite role was dedicated wife and mother. She had a long career in the Arlington ISD schools, which allowed for her to be present in both her sons’ activities as they grew up. She treasured time with her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as “Grammy” to her four grandchildren, spoiling them at every opportunity. She had a vivacious personality and always had plenty of hugs, smiles and love to go around. Teri will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love of family and the joy she had in sharing and telling stories with everyone around her. Survivors: Teri is survived by her sister Jamesetta “Jacki” Roberts; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Kathryn DeLario and Jonathan and Alicia DeLario; grandchildren, Carson, Isaac, Landon and Tatum. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Wednesday - February 23, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. with the Celebration of Teri's Life beginning at 11:30 A.M. The Rev. Chris Myers, officiating. Interment will follow in the D/FW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
