Velna Landry Kerby

72, of DeSoto, TX passed away on March 17, 2014.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the funeral home.  Graveside Services and Interment will be held at 11 A. M. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.  (Please assemble at 10:45 a.m. in Lane "A") 2000 Mt. Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.  Donations may be made to HONOR FLIGHT DFW (www.honorflightdfw.org).A special Thanks to Odyssey Hospice for the outstanding care given to our Mother.Mrs. Kerby was born in Westwego, Louisiana on December 8, 1941 to Virginia Guidroz Landry and Abbie Joseph Landry.  She worked many years for Kips Restaurant and most recently Sam's Club. Survivors include her husband: Roger B. Kerby of DeSoto, daughters: Lorie, and husband: Bill Duncan of Cedar Hill,Michelle Kerby of Ft. Worth, TX, and Sabrina and husband: Kevin Thomasson of Mansfield, 6 Grandchildren: Lauren Bevill and fiance: Matt Edwards, Hunter and his wife: Kassi Bevill, Brittany Duncan, Nicole Kerby, Dalton Lowenberg, Rexx Thomasson, 3 Great Grandchildren: Carson Yowell, Riley Bevill and Reegan Bevill, sister: Melba and her husband: Bob Stephenson of Cleveland, OK.Pallbearers will be Hunter Bevill, Rexx Thomasson, Dalton Lowenberg, Bill Duncan, Kevin Thomasson and Tommy Kerby.  Larry Kerby will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
