78 of DeSoto, was born in Oakville, TX. to Clarence and Inez Wilburn Haak. He was the retired construction manager for the southwestern territory for Sears. A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, mentor, rancher, and dear friend to many, preceded in death by his wife, Sara,on November 6, 2003, he is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Susan and Darryl Harding of Benton, AR., Linda and Don Dismore of DeSoto, Connie and Jayson Allen of Red Oak, grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Felix Dozier, Robert and Julie Sharp, Jan and Jonathan Dorn, Cody Reed, Abby Allen, Jason Mayfield, Jana Goss, great grandchildren, Kaylee and Garrett Sharp, Alexis Dozier and Chloe Dorn. Brother and his wife, A. L. and Mary Haak of Cleburne, sisters and their husbands, Peggy and Floyd McIntosh of Fairview, Neta and James Allison of San Antonio, and special cousin, Luke Haak. The family will receive friends and share memories from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Judi Brandt, officiating. Interment, next to his wife, will be at Rhodes Cemetery in DeSoto.
