William Joe (W.J.) "DUB" Cooper 75, of DeSoto, TX passed away on July 22, 2013. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday - July 28, 2013 from 5 - 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Monday - July 29, 2013 with Mr. Michael Elrod, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Dub is survived by his wife of 53 plus years: Janice Cooper of DeSoto, TX; children: Theresa Cevaal of Denison, TX; Rhonda French of DeSoto, TX; Crystal Smith of Ladonia, TX; grandchildren: Jason Pearson, Shannon Pearson, Amanda Wells, Deana Wright, Wayne Wright, III., Shawn Nichols, II., Victoria Kant, William Kant, Wesley Kant, Cynthia Smith, John Smith, II., Colby Smith & Brittany Smith, Jake and Andy Cevaal; numerous great grandchildren; brother: Elbert Cooper of Midlothian, TX; sisters: Betty Horton of Duncanville, TX & Rachel Kyles of Gladewater, TX.
