Wayne G. Jones

Wayne G. Jones was born March 30, 1945 to George Russell and Loretta O’Neill Jones in Rock Island, Illinois. He died in Dallas, Texas at UT Southwetern St. Paul Hospital on January 24, 2013. He married Nancy VenHorst in 1969. He was an Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was involved in the automobile remarketing business. He loved camping, golf, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He lived in Rock Island until 1978, then Burlington, Iowa until 1984, then Milwaukee, WS until 1986, when he moved to DeSoto, Texas, to Jackson, MS in 88, and back to DeSoto in 1989. He retired from DTAG (Dollar Thrifty Auto Group last year. He moved to Waxahachie, TX in 2012. Wayne was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandpa. Survivors include his wife: Nancy, son: T. J. Jones of Saginaw, TX, granddaughter: Sidney Jones of Saginaw, brothers and sisters: Joseph Jones of Taylor Ridge, IL, Joyce Chard of Sherard, IL, Donnie Jones of Davenport, IO and Patty Devaney of Taylor Ridge, IL. A Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at GRACE Church of Ovilla, Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 A. M. Monday, January 28, 2013 at GRACE Church of Ovilla and Interment with Military Honors will be on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. At the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
