Wendell "Hambone" Hamm passed away at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler on January 31, 2015 at the age of 74.
He grew up in Dallas, TX, graduated from High School and then served his country in the United States Air Force. Hambone really enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his Harley Heritage Softtail. Do to his love for riding motorcycles, he became a member of the Maverick MC Lake Fork Chapter.
Over the years he had become a wonderful brother and friend to many. Hambone not only became a part of a large family but had met his fiancee Pat in the process. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with each other as well as spending time with other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William & Margaret Hamm, brother Anthony Hamm and wife Judy Jolly Hamm.
In addition to his fiancee Patricia Pless of Quitman, TX, he is also survived by stepchildren Neta (Raymond), Brenda (Bob), Julie & Steve, numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, sister Kathryn Abbott of Mesquite, TX and several other relatives & friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday - February 03, 2015 from 6 - 8:00 P.M. at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday - February 04, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home.
Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Bells Chapel Cemetery, Pecan Hill, TX.
