Wilhelm "Bill" Lee Berg

Berg, Wilhelm Lee (Bill) passed away in Dallas on January 5, 2013. He was born in Bartlett, Texas on June 25,1934. He celebrated his seventy-eighth birthday this past June. He married Mildred Patschke on February 4, 1956, and she preceded him in death on October 22, 2001. He was alsopreceded in death by his parents, Henry and Olga Berg. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School and spent his career in the trucking industry. Survivors include five children: Thelma Berg, Henry Berg and wife Terri, Cindy Schoenwetter and husband Ron, Jo Ann Beechem and husband Dahl and Byron Berg and wife Vicki. His eight grandchildren: Marc Berg, Jessica Berg, Matthew Berg, Cassie Beechem, Hollie Beechem, Katie Schoenwetter, Maddie Schoenwetter, Brandon Berg and numerous great-grandchildren,sister: Nora Drusdow of Taylor, TX, and a number of nieces and nephews. Bill was dearly loved by family, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2012 at West-Hurtt Funeral Home in DeSoto. Funeral services will take place in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 8th at lO A. M. with Pastor Benjamin Tomczak, officiating. Interment will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville, TX. Memorials may be made to the St. Mark Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Church, 611 N. Cedar Ridge, Duncanville, TX 75116 or the DFW Radio Ministry at that church.
