William Robert (Bob) Purcell

Born in Bonham, TX to Bonnie Carruth Purcell and Samuel Douglas Purcell. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two wives, JoAnn Burke Purcell and Jane Caldwell Purcell. He is survived by his daughter, Bobbie, son-in-law, Tommy Dobbs of Desoto, grandchildren, Eric and his wife Katrina, Aaron and his wife. Stephanie and Ashley, as well as his great-granddaughter, Rachel and another great grandchild due in December. Bob served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Bob was a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, receiving his 50 year Mason award, and the Dallas Model A Ford Club. He was a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church in DeSoto. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2 from 9:30 A. M. to 11:30 A. M. Interment will follow at 1 P. M. at Ferris Memorial Park North, 1000 Ferris St., Ferris, TX 75125 with Dr. Jerry R. Raines officiating. Military Honors will be rendered and Masonic Rites will be provided.
