Willie was a hardworking, loving, generous husband and father. He was a well respected master mechanic that could fix anything. He worked several years as a brick mason, as well. He actually built his own home himself.
Willie loved his old country music and hotrods. He loved to cruise around in his ’65 Ford Galaxy with the top down, that he and his son-in-law rebuilt after finding in a field. He was known for his slicked back hair, he always carried his comb in his back pocket to make sure it was perfect at all times. Many called him Fonzie.
Willie wasn’t much of a traveling man but he took several trips to New Orleans. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He was constantly joking around.
Willie would do anything for his family and took care of the people he loved. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Our comfort is knowing that he is happy in heaven and we will see him again.
Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Wednesday-March 25, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Joe Langley, officiating.
Interment will be private.
